We've been busy again at openthebox, shipping four key new updates to our platform.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. New Navigation

After having already split our web application from our marketing website, it made sense to update the in-app navigation to something that better fits your logged-in experience.

So we went from this:

To this:

We've implemented this change to better highlight features such as Advanced Search, Lists, and Searches, and avoid distracting you from your research in openthebox with links to pricing, resources, and about pages.

Available to: all users

2. Optional Styled Exports

Next to our trusted export format, we've added a new, optional, export format with more lay-out so that key information can be retrieved quickly should you need it. To ensure any Excel models like your LBO's or others don't break, we've kept the original, "raw" file format as well. You can continue to download this version by simply toggling "Legacy" when exporting data from openthebox.

This new, updated file format is available for exports of Annual Accounts and Financial Ratios. Social Balance and Advanced Search exports remain unchanged.

Available to: Premium users

3. EBITDA as a highlighted metric on profiles

We've given one of the most imporant financial parameters the highlighting it deserves: at the top of each company profile, and in the evolution/trends charts on the company profile page and the financials tab. We did this to better provide financial services professionals with one of the most important pieces of information when assessing or researching a company.

Available to: Premium users

4. NACE 2025

While more NACE codes are still being added in the KBO / Banque Carrefour des Entreprises, we've already added those available in our database and our web app. You can now find the latest NACE codes on every profile. Furtermore, instead of the two distinct fields previously found in our Advanced Search, you can now simply toggle which version of the NACE codes you wish to use, then select the specific codes you wish to work with.
